I. General

Air Congo considers children aged 5 to 11 traveling alone as unaccompanied minors, requiring mandatory escort service. Young travelers aged 12 to 17 are also classified as unaccompanied minors but may travel without an escort by paying the applicable service fees. Air Congo will not take responsibility for unaccompanied minors beyond the departure or arrival airport but will ensure their safe delivery to the receiving carrier at the transfer point.

II. Policy

Unaccompanied minors under the age of five (5) will not be accepted on Air Congo flights without a family member accompanying them. An escort from the airline is mandatory for unaccompanied minors aged 5 to 11. An escort can be provided by Air Congo for an applicable fee.

III. Procedures

Before the ticket is issued, the customer must complete an unaccompanied minor form with the full addresses and phone numbers of all responsible parties. If a parent or guardian cannot arrange for the child to be received at the transfer point and no escort service is requested, Air Congo will assist in organizing an appropriate guardian without accepting responsibility. This arrangement applies to children aged 12 and older.

V. National

Unaccompanied minors aged 5 to 11 will be accepted with an airline escort by paying the adult fare plus a service fee of 50 USD. Minors aged 12 to 18 can travel without an escort by completing the UM form and paying a service fee of 50 USD.
